Arran Murray Sanderson

Project officer at Renaisi

London, United Kingdom

About Me

I am one of the Project Officers in Renaisi’s research and consultancy team. My work includes a number of evaluations, both internal and external, as well as supporting project delivery on behalf of clients.

My experience and skills

This July I returned to the UK from Japan, where I taught English in rural state schools for two years. My experiences there taught me the importance of studying how organisations and systems work in order to better achieve long-term change.

Before this, I was involved in various access initiatives whilst at Cambridge University. As the Access Officer of my student union, I encouraged young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to see university as a viable option for them, leading workshops and university tours. My other activities included co-founding a student society to raise funds and awareness for UNICEF.

My interests

I’m passionate about using research and consultancy to help change the communities and society we live in. I believe that impact evaluations and similar research are crucial to ensuring socially impactful projects and organisations achieve their aims. In my spare time, I keep up my Japanese and Japanese drumming. I’m also an avid climber and cyclist.
