Tessa Horvath

Project Manager at Renaisi

London, United Kingdom

About Me

I joined Renaisi in February 2013 and have managed a diverse range of research and evaluation projects for local authorities, charities, social enterprises and for Renaisi’s internal research work. My focus has been on whole family approaches to supporting vulnerable people, peer mentoring and gendered analysis.

My experience and skills

Prior to joining Renaisi, I completed a Master’s degree in Woman and Child Abuse Studies, specialising in sexual exploitation. This gave me the opportunity to explore policy and practice for addressing forms of gender-based violence, such as domestic and sexual violence. For my undergraduate degree she studied Philosophy and Politics at Leeds University.

I’m experienced in qualitative research methods, including interviews, focus groups, content analysis, ethnographic methods, and qualitative analysis. I’m also skilled at designing impact evaluation frameworks, an ability I have developed through my diverse experience at Renaisi, training at the Social Research Association training and post-graduate study.

My interests

Outside work, I’m involved with local grassroots campaigns designed to tackle violence against women and girls. This includes the LIFT campaign, which raises awareness about the realities of prostitution among local communities and decision-makers.
