A report by the Crossrail 2 Growth Commission has recently been published. The Commission was set up by the Mayor of London in July 2015 to examine the economic growth potential of the scheme. It has recently set out its findings. These have been helpfully summarized by London First.
One of the most staggering findings for the report is the incredible growth potential surrounding housing.
This shows the phenomenal impact that Crossrail 2 is set to have on the capital and the requirement for boroughs and the GLA to forward plan for these changes and the needs of the new population.
'Not only is TfL’s assessment of 200,000 new homes and jobs credible, growth could potentially be even greater. '
